Virginia Kathryne Wallace

Virginia Kathryne Wallace (88) passed peacefully in her sleep on June 10, 2022 at the Auberge at Onion Creek. Born January 22, 1934 to JM and Johnny Kathryne Tidwell, Mom was the oldest of two daughters. Mom married William F. (Bill) Wallace on August 3, 1953 and celebrated 67 years of marriage in 2020 before Dad passed. Mom is also preceded in death by her younger sister, Jo Gail Schmidt, and great grandson, Dakon.

Together, Mom and Dad had three sons, Randy (Jo), Rusty (Christy), and Rhett (Beth). Mom took great joy in her family which included her grandchildren, Ryan, Ben, Scott (Sydney), Taylor (Darian), Samantha, Justin (Sydney), Rachel (Andrew Maxwell), Baileigh, Kamryn, and Case, and great-grandchildren, Dillon, Teagan, Hadley, Sha, Blaze and Harper.

Mom had a long career of Civil Service first working for the Internal Revenue Service in Austin, then working as a Civil Servant for Bergstrom Airforce Base before retiring. Prior to Alzheimers, Mom was an active and supportive member of Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church in Garfield, TX.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org or a charity of your choice.
