Obituary for Victor Cloud Moore
Victor Cloud Moore, Jr. passed away on February 28, 2022 in Lakeway, Texas. He spent his last days saying goodbye to family and friends, teaching Bible Study, and listening to his country gospel music. His faith was extremely strong, and he never stopped teaching or letting his family members know how much he loved each of them.
Victor was born on June 4, 1934 in El Paso, Texas and lived in El Paso most of his life. He graduated from Texas Western College where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He was president of El Paso Sand Products and continued working in the concrete business for most of his life. He was raised at the Southwestern Children's Home and served on its Board of Directors as well as its surviving entity the El Paso Center for Children. He was honored as a life member of this Board. He was a long-time member of Western Hills United Methodist Church where he served in various capacities. After moving to Lakeway, he became an active member of The Lakeway Church.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents Kathleen and Victor Moore; two sisters, Mildred Austin and Elizabeth Moore; his brother and sister-in-law, Brunson and Mary Ann Moore; and John and Thelma Barnes. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Johnelle Barnes Moore; his son and his wife Victor Curt and Sheryl Moore of Bellaire, Texas; his daughter Tamara Moore of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Sydney Ann Moore and Victor Cameron Moore of Bellaire, Texas; his brother Taylor Moore; nieces Monica Cation of Austin, Texas, Melissa Beaty of College Station, Texas, and Corie Brashears of The Woodlands, Texas, as well as other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 25, at The Lakeway Church (2203 Lakeway Blvd, Lakeway, TX 78734). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the El Paso Center for Children-Southwest Children's Home Trust (2200 N. Stevens Street, El Paso, TX 79930), The Lakeway Church, or a charity of your choice.
