Sherry Ann Murray, 74, passed away peacefully on September 13th in Austin Tx. Sherry was born in Grand Junction Co to Myra Humes Murray and Robert Murray Sr.

Sherry is survived by her Daughter Brooke Murray, her sister Jan Murray Veenstra, her sister Carolyn Cunningham, and her seven cats , Machete, Itty bit, Cocoa, Alara, puurl, Chica and Elle. As well as extended family on her mothers side.

Sherry lived life on her own terms, a true wild child who broke barriers and conventions. She was generous and caring. Sherry loved gardening and plants and always had to grow something. She traveled extensively and lived in Nigeria , west Africa while in the peace core. While there she helped the Nigerian government set up a computer system and established the first library in the village of Osogbo where she lived. One of her proudest moments came when she was honored with a chieftaincy of her village.

She also had a love affair with New Orleans where she lived until hurricane Katrina and missed until her passing.

Sherry is predeceased by her parents and her Brother Robert Murray Jr.
