Sarah's Celebration of Life is planned at Lake Hills Church (11521 Bee Caves Rd., Austin, Texas 78738) in Bee Caves at 2 pm, January 7th, 2023. Reception following there afterwards.

Born December 5,1957 in Austin, Texas to Dorothy Teague Herrington and Tom R. Herrington. Sarah was an only child from Dorothy and Tom's marriage. Sarah had one step-brother from Tom's previous marriage, who proceeded her in death. Sarah passed from this life on December 4th, 2022.

Sarah was raised in South Austin her entire life. She attended Barton Hills elementary school where her mother was a schoolteacher for over 30 years. She attended Porter Jr. Middle School and then Crockett High School from 1971-1975. She then enrolled in the University of Texas at Austin for 2 years before entering UT Nursing School in Austin. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and became a Registered Nurse upon completion of her exams.

Sarah's father passed away unexpectedly when Sarah was 16. This was the driving force behind Sarah deciding to pursue her nurse degree and caring for people her entire life.

After graduating, she began working in Labor & Delivery at St. David's Hospital in Austin. She then joined Bailey Square Outpatient surgery center, specializing in Orthopedic surgeries under the direction of Norma White, RN. After many years in OR, she left to gain experience in medical sales, becoming General Mgr. of a specialty hospital bed company. She later became Branch mgr. of Curaflex, a home health infusion company for several years. Realizing there was a need for a locally owned and managed infusion company in Austin, she and two partners formed I.V. Specialties. After less than 5 years, Sarah bought her two partners out, and managed/owned IVS for the next 22 years. After retiring for a year, she joined Pyxis Care Management. This turned out to be a dream job for her these last several years.

Providing medical care for people was her passion. Starting with her father's untimely death, she lived a life to take care of people from all walks of life, thru her many health care experiences. There was never a truer calling from God, than her ministry of his word by caring and loving people thru her work as a nurse.

The beach was Sarah's happy place. Trips to Cayman Island, St. Croix, Belize, St Martin and Anguilla, Mexico Riviera, Florida Panhandle, and the Texas coast were places she found true happiness. She along with husband Scott spent numerous visits to their properties on 30A in Florida and Cinnamon Shore in Port A this past year. Sitting while watching the waves with toes in the sand was God's gift to her for her many years of service to others in medical need.

Sarah is survived by her husband of 41 years Scott Naizer, daughters Rachel and Lauren Herrington-Naizer. Bonus daughters Jamie Egloff, Amanda Hu, and Rachael Dear. She was also 2nd mother to many young women around her community including Cassidy, Brooklyn, Sidney, Christine, and her special godson Joshia Snowden.

Sarah grew up attending First Baptist Church in downtown Austin. It played a most important role in her early faith. Attending Sunday school, participating in youth and young women's choir (Contamos) and the site of her and Scott's marriage ceremony in 1981. They both then attended Riverbend Church during for the first 20 years of their marriage. Post adoption of both daughters, they became members of Lake Hill Church in Bee Cave. Sarah was a dedicated volunteer in the Children's nursery, assisting with babies, crawlers and walkers. She participated in Fearless Mom sessions and was an early member of the Titus II woman's bible group.

Donations to the Children's Nursery at Lake Hills Church in her name would be her wish. Please send to Lake Hills Church, 11431 Bee Caves Rd, Austin, Texas 78738. Flowers may be sent to the church as well.
