Obituary for Patrick Clifton Gauny

Patrick Clifton Gauny, 43, passed away with loving family members at his side on Friday, December 23rd, 2022, in Cedar Park, Texas. Patrick was born on April 10th, 1979, in Houston, Texas, to parents Ron and Peggy Gauny and resided most of his life in Austin, Texas. Patrick was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served as a Navy corpsman with the Marines. He enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad with the military to Japan, Spain, and Hawaii.

After serving in the Navy, Patrick returned to Austin and earned a Bachelor's degree in Government from the University of Texas. He also studied the Russian language and spent a summer in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia. Patrick went on to develop a career in the healthcare industry, where he loved continually advancing himself and helping others reach their potential as a mentor. Patrick's coworkers knew him for telling "dad jokes" and appreciated his hardworking dedication.

Patrick was an avid Texas Longhorns football fan. He also loved spending fall weekends with his father and brothers in Uvalde hunting during deer season, enjoying monthly family dinner gatherings, and watching movies with his wife and children. He was a devoted father, brother, son, and friend. Patrick had a playful sense of humor that brought joy to everyone around him.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Noel Marie Gauny, and three children, Connor, Collin, and Ciara Gauny of Cedar Park, Texas, who loved him dearly. He is also survived by his father and wife, Ron D. Gauny and Evelyn Ng Gauny, Aunt and Uncle Sue and Jackie Mills, Aunt Cate Conn, Uncle Randy Gauny, sister and husband Tammie and Andy Johnson, brother and wife Ronnie D. Gauny II and Staci Gauny, and brother Christopher Gauny. He is also survived by step-siblings Shannon Barker, Tiffany Barker, and Kevin Barker, their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Peggy Ann Gauny and stepmother Sunny Peer.

A celebration of life will be held at the Remembrance Gardens, 214 N. Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin, on Friday, January 27th, at 10:30 am. Donations may be made in Patrick's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
