Obituary for Lyndsay Erin Maclin-Woods

Lyndsay Erin Maclin Woods, 34 of Buda, TX passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a fierce fight against breast cancer. Lyndsay was born in Arlington, TX to Roland Douglas and Rowena Johnson Maclin on December 15, 1988.

Lyndsay was baptized on August 12, 1989 at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Fort Worth, TX. Her First Communion was on June 21, 1998 and her Confirmation was on September 20, 2006.

She attended James W. Martin High School and graduated in 2007 with Honors. She received both the President's Award and the State of Texas House of Representatives Certificate of Recognition. Lyndsay went on to earn Bachelors' degrees in four years as a double major in both Advertising and Marketing with a Business Foundation at The University of Texas, Austin.

During her second year of college, Lyndsay was recognized as a blossoming, successful young debutante by the Fort Worth Assembly in 2009.

She worked as Graphics Designer/Marketer for Harvey-Cleary Builders before branching out to start her own business. She founded Purple Magnolia Design and excelled as a business owner with a client base that reached throughout Texas. She ultimately required free-lance assistance from her former Harvey Cleary trainee, Aidyn Losey Glenn. Lyndsay was an active member of SMPS (Society of Marketing Professional Services) since 2012. She served on the board in several capacities, including Communications Chair and Austin Chapter president from 2018 -2019. She earned her Professional Marketer's Certification in 2018.

She was an avid reader and could usually be found with a book in her hand. But more than anything, she loved her family and spent much of her time volunteering at school and watching the boys in their many activities.

Lyndsay is survived by her husband, Alfred James Woods of Buda, TX ; Her beloved boys, Roland James Woods, 5; Josiah King Woods, 13; Mother, Dr Rowena Johnson Maclin (Pam Dabner) of Arlington, TX; Sister, Sydney Maclin (Michelle De Leon) of Kyle, TX; Mother-in-law, Janet Reeves of Kingsbury, TX ; Brother-in-law, Travis Woods of Austin, TX ; Sister-in-law, Paige Reeves Birdwell (Carl) of Seguin, TX; Sister-in-law, Amari Taylor of San Antonio, TX; Uncle, Thomas Rodney Johnson (Leisha) of Austin, TX; Grandmother, Carrie Johnson of Fort Worth, TX; a host of cousins, nieces and extended family; and an extraordinary village of supporters
