Obituary for Lynda Lynn Waugh

Lynda Lynn Waugh passed away December 28, 2022, at an age she'd prefer you didn't know. If you knew her as "Ginny," "Aunt Lynda," "Miss Lynda," or that older woman who winked at the cute "younger" men in town, she will always be remembered for the time and love she gave to her own family and the many families of the community of Llano. Whether it be through Sunday School leadership, daycare services, or just willingness to share a cold beer on the porch whatever the occasion (preferably in a chilled mug but always with a koozie), she was always up for sharing a story, a laugh, or just a small toast to the moment.

Ginny has a new porch to sit on now, one that we know will always be surrounded with the perfect breeze, a comfortable porch swing, and the best frozen margarita one couldn't find on Earth. We expect she is surrounded by friends and loved ones, especially her mother, Bernice Schneider Davis, and her father, Emil Pehl, who we know were greeting her in Heaven. Her late husband, Jay, has no doubt two-stepped with her countless times at the time of this writing, as everyone knew he was the best dancer in Texas.

Though we know the gates of Heaven have welcomed her happily, she will be sorely missed here on Earth by her Daughters, Gina Lynn Lehne (Burton) and Michelle Ashabranner (Jay), and Sister, Emy Jo Miller (Stanley). Forever cherished for the years they had with her are Ginny's Grandchildren, Brittany D'Lynne Hull (Tommy), Jordan Lee Ashabranner (Katey), Colton Ray Ashabranner, and Logan Jay Ashabranner. Her memory will live on in her four Great-grandchildren, Katelyn Johanna Hull, Zachary Wayne Hull, Zoe Lynne Hull, and Roan Schneider Ashabranner; her Nephew, William Davis "Dub" Miller (Mandi) and her Grand-nephews and Grand-niece, Townes Edward Smith, Tuesday Johanna Miller, and William Tennessee Miller; and her Niece, Kelli Jo Walter (Brett) and her Grand-niece and Grand-nephew, Adena Joleigh Walter and Joshua James Walter; and many other friends and family members will miss her. All of us loved her dearly and will never, ever forget her.

Everyone who remembers her is asked to celebrate Ginny's life in their own way, however, raising a glass of your favorite beverage in her memory would be quite appropriate, and we know she'll be clinking hers back with you in Heaven. Instead of flowers, Ginny would hope that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone else in her honor, or maybe just go get your hair done and have a nice meal!

The family is holding a private Celebration of Life for her, where we will commemorate the good times and do our very best not to cry, because though she would want to know she was missed, she would never want us to ruin her party.
