Fourth generation Austinite Lucille Marie Dittmar Holden passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Isle at Cedar Ridge in Cedar Park, Texas. She was born in Austin, Texas on May 18, 1928 to Adolph & Doris Dittmar. She was the oldest daughter and one of seven children.

Lucille met Arnold, her future husband, at the Manchaca Baptist Church in 1940. They married on August 8, 1944 in Austin and recently celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary. What a beautiful example of love and commitment they set for our family.

We were blessed to have this special and caring woman in our lives for over 94 years. Lucille grew up on a dairy farm in South Austin and she loved to ride horses, play the piano and bake. Lucille made the best brown beans and homemade sweet rolls and also loved to crochet blankets and afghans for everyone. She worked at the Travis County Tax Assessor's Collector's Office for 25 years.

Lucille was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Norton, son-in-law Rick Norton, parents Adolph & Doris Dittmar and all three brothers. Her spirit is carried on by her husband Arnold Holden, her daughters Kaye Brown (spouse Dennis Brown), and Sherry Williams; grandchildren Troy Brown (spouse Janna Brown), Kimberly Poe (spouse Chris Poe), Tamara Willmann (spouse Steve Willmann), Justin Norton (spouse Kelly Pfertner) and Jeremy Norton (spouse Kim Norton); great grandchildren Ethan Poe, Dillon Brown, Sterling Brown, Abigayle Poe, Sarah Willmann, Anna Willmann, Jackson Norton, Jared Norton and Makenna Norton. Lucille is also survived by her sisters Laura Hunter, Carolyn Hemphill and Pat Dittmar, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

We wish to give special thanks and recognition to the caregivers and staff at the Isle at Cedar Ridge.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Harrell Funeral Home in South Austin. Burial at Boggy Creek Masonic Cemetery.
