Obituary for Kenneth Patrick Wood
Kenneth Patrick Wood was born on May 19, 1966 in Pasadena,TX,
and passed away on December 30, 2022 at the age of 56 years old.
Kenneth was the Son of Patricia Wood and Kenneth Wood. His father
was a member of the Air Force. His mother was an accountant.
Kenneth was predeceased by parents, Kenneth and Patricia Wood. He
is survived by his fiancé, Kim Larison, friends, Curtis and Leah Cathey
and their children, Paul and Tobi Wedow and their children, Gibby and
Rhonda Dean and their children and many other dear friends.
Kenneth went to high school at Crockett High School in Austin, Texas and
graduated in 1986. He went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Criminology
from Texas State University. He worked as a Sales Associate for Cabela's.
He was a member of the BenHur Shriners and a past Master of the Onion Creek
Masonic lodge where he was active in the directors staff.
He attended Buda United Methodist Church for many years
and was a dedicated volunteer in many of their endeavors.
He was never married but made beautiful, lasting relationships with his
friends. He enjoyed all of the charity work he did through his masonic
lodge, working with Deans Dainty Donkeys, attending rodeos, hunting
and anything outdoors. What brought him the most joy was being with
his loved ones. He had a huge, beautiful heart which impacted for the
good all who knew him. He will be remembered by the legacy he left of
giving, loving, helping and encouraging all of those around him.
Memorial service will be held at Harrell Funeral Home of Kyle on
February 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jerry Lyons officiating.
Burial will follow at Onion Creek Masonic Cemetery, also known as
Boggy Creek Masonic Cemetery, 7491 Circle S Road, Austin, TX.
Harrell Funeral Home of Kyle will be handling the funeral
arrangements.
Donations in Ken's Memory can be made to the Shriners Hospital.
