Janet (Goodwin) Carrick, 88, died in Austin TX, on December 13, 2022, with her family by her side.

She was born to Stuart W. and Cleora Goodwin in Lewiston, ME on March 12, 1934, and grew up in Norway ME. She graduated from Middlebury College where she majored in French. She married Winfield Schuster Carrick (d. 2017) in 1956 in North Conway NH.

She is survived by her children: Wendy Carrick of Austin TX; Winfield (Woody) Stuart Carrick and his wife Heidi Cruise of Bend OR; William Roy Carrick and wife Audrey of La Quinta CA, and grandchildren: Ian Daniel Carrick of Bend OR, William Cameron Carrick of Cumberland BC Canada, Hannah Anne Carrick of Portland OR, Natalie Clare Carrick of Phoenix AZ and William Roy Carrick of Kingsville TX.

After raising her family, she enjoyed travel, golf, bridge, and the company of her family and friends. She was adventurous in exploring new places to live and travel. Having raised their children in Florida, Texas, and Maine, she and Win enjoyed living in New Bern NC, Austin TX and San Miguel, Mexico as well as spending time in Marco Island FL. Two of her favorite travel destinations were Africa and Mexico.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Evergreen Cemetery, Douglas MA.
