James Waldron Knight, 81 years old, passed away on 1/15/2023 in Llano, Texas. Born in San Antonio, Texas to Waldron General Knight and Ivy Laverta Huebner on December 12,1941.

James had an associate degree in criminal justice. He joined the Border Patrol in 1968 and retired in 1995. He served in the Air Force from 1958 until 1966. He was a devout Christian and was a member of Grace Gathering Church in Llano, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Virginia Caroline Knight, sons, James Waldron Knight, Jr., Mark Robert Knight and wife Olimpia, and David Chester Knight. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Allyson Marie Knight, Mark Robert Knight Jr., and David Chester Knight, two great-grandchildren and one brother, Robert Chester Knight and his wife Barbara. Sister-in-law Linda Katsma and her husband Don. James was preceded in death by his father Waldron General Knight, his mother Ivy Laverta Huebner, and nephew Robert John Knight.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Grace Gathering Church in Llano, Texas.
