Ima Nell Hill, 86, of Austin, Texas, passed away Thursday, April, 2022. She was born August 2, 1935, in Mount Gainer, Texas to Maurine Pursley and Glynn Rippy. She graduated from Austin High School in 1953, began her employment at the Texas Education Agency, and retired after 38 years. During that time, she obtained a Bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University and was promoted to the Director of her division, all while raising four children.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Karol Hill and Karen Geddes of Austin; her son, Richard Hill and wife Cynthia; and her sister, Sue Crider. She has five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. When it came to her family, she was selfless. Her family was her entire world, and she put their needs ahead of her own. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurine Pursley Drake and Glynn Rippy, her sister, Faye Keatley, and her daughter, Tammie Kay Hill.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 10:00am at Harrell Funeral Home, 100 Heritage Drive in Dripping Springs. The funeral services are to begin at 11:00am with a burial to follow at Pursley Cemetery in Dripping Springs. Parking is limited so please carpool if you can.
