Hector Leyendecker was called home on February 13, 2023. He was born on May 15, 1969, to Mary Santos Carmona Leyendecker.

Hector was well-known as the owner of Austin Quality Tires, which he established in 1996. Hector truly lived life to the fullest through the simple love of music and being outdoors. In his early years, he spent time with his family and friends at Town Lake and Lake Travis, enjoying the bike trails, kayaking, and riding jet skis. As a true Austinite, he also enjoyed live music and attended many concerts. Most of all, his greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, Salma.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Santos Carmona Leyendecker and sister, Rachael Leyendecker. He is survived by his daughter, Salma Leyendecker; sisters, Irene Gutierrez, and Mary Carmen Galvan (Sergio Galvan); 9 nieces and nephews; 19 great nieces and nephews.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Michael Galvan, Jonathan Gutierrez, Sergio Galvan, Ruben Fabian, Andres Mendez, Juan Gonzalez, Richard Carmona and Daniel Longoria

A rosary and visitation will be held at 7pm on February 27, 2023, at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX 78745. Mass will be held at 1pm on February 28, 2023, at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. Burial service will be at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S I-35 Frontage Road, Austin, TX 78704, after mass. Following the burial service, family and friends are invited for refreshments at San Jose Catholic Church at the Parish Hall.
