Grace H. Brown, 95, of Austin went peacefully to be with the Lord on December 23, 2022.

The daughter of William Thomas Teague and Henrietta Williams she was born in the Oak Hill/Cedar Valley area of, Travis County, Texas on May 3, 1927.

She married the love of her life, Burney S. Brown of Austin and worked beside him in their business Colonial Floral. During her long career she also served as a house parent at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired; the Austin State School, and The Brown School.

Grace was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who loved going to garage sales, sewing, bowling and being with her family.

She is survived by her five children, Diane Walker of Austin, Burney S. Brown, Jr. and wife Valerie of Austin, Edward J. Brown and wife Dawn of Taylor, Deborah Jordan and husband Kevin of San Antonio, and Robert DeWitt of Elgin as well as seventeen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Harrell Funeral Home in Austin. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Harrell Funeral Home with graveside service to follow at 12:15 p.m. at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
