Obituary for Faye Dee James

Faye Dee James, 79, of Cedar Creek passed away on Sunday evening, January 15, 2023. She was born to Dee and Lena Bradford on July 9, 1933. She married Oscar Lee James, Jr. and their love story on this earth lasted over 72 years. Together, they raised three sons and one grandson.

Faye Dee was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, volunteered in Vacation Bible School, and worked public school cafeterias. Her family and friends were blessed by her caring nature, her loyalty, and her constant optimism. She fearlessly confronted life with love, energy, and joy that is seldom matched and never exceeded. She is missed by her family and friends, but we are comforted by the knowledge that she is happy in Heaven in the eternal presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Faye Dee is survived by Oscar, her husband of over 72 years; her sons, Army Captain (Retired) O. L. James, III and his wife, Cherylene, Marine Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) C. B. James and his wife, Jeanette, and Ray James; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 To 8:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Rosanky Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Rosanky Baptist Church followed by the interment at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery, Cedar Creek, Texas.
