Ellen Curtis, 75, died October 19, 2022, peacefully at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Alma, Georgia on February 9, 1947, to William and Jeannette Hanson.

Ellen was smart, funny, honest, and stubborn. She achieved one of her dreams by being a contestant on Jeopardy. She loved spending time with her seven grandchildren, riding her bike, bluebonnets, cold coffee, Angela Lansbury and being right. She was fiercely loyal, caring and always there for her family at a moment's notice. She was the best mom and grandma.

Ellen was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jessica Morris. She is survived by her children, Cathy Curtis, Cherilyn Thompson, and Bryon Curtis; sister Billie Davis; brothers William Hanson and Lynn Hanson; seven grandchildren, nieces, and their families. We would like to thank Hospice Austin, all of her doctors, and friends of the family that provided support and comfort to her.
