Allred

Anne grew up in Austin attending the old Allan Jr High and graduating from Austin High School Class of 1942. At the age of 16 she started the University of Texas during the war years where she met and married Robert D. Hudson II, a naval aviator student at UT. In 1946 she returned to Austin and gave birth to her first son Robert D. Hudson III "Danny" and resumed her studies at UT graduating in 1947 with a BS in Home Economics and a MA in Counseling Psychology in 1952.

In 1952 Anne married William Ray Kohler "Bill" and in 1956 gave birth to her second son Raymond L. Kohler. During this time she began her long career as a mother, teacher, social worker and managing family owned rental property. In 1961 she lost Bill in a boating accident on Lake Austin. Raising two boys she continued her professional career as a vocational rehabilitation specialist with several state agencies retiring at the Texas Department of Human Resources in 1983.

Anne was a life long Democrat actively participating in local and state politics and serving as a Precinct Judge for a number of years. Along with her friends Txana Conn, Shudde Fath, Helen Spear and many other strong willed women they were a force to be contended with. Anne was an avid genealogist /family historian traveling from Salt Lake City (pre-internet) to numerous court houses and cemeteries to trace family lineage. She became a member of Daughters of the America Revolution and other family related organizations including: Cayce Family Assn, Wingfield Family Society, The Gaither Connection, Bates Booster, The Bourland Society, and The Loving Family. She finally realized that everyone was related to everyone else and closed her books.

Kohler Jr "Robbie" and wife Molly; daughter-in-law Micala Kohler and granddaughters Hayley Kohler and husband Evan Figueroa of Austin, and Jordan Yoeli MD and husband Dor (MD) of Denver, CO.
