Obituary for Dolores Ibarra

Dolores Cuellar Ibarra, 86, was born on October 27, 1935 to Francisco Cuellar and Leonor Perez in Lockhart, Texas. On October 11, Dolores passed away to her eternal rest at her daughters home in Buda, Texas.

Dolores retired from Austin Independent School District after serving as an Administrative Assistant for over 25 years. Her long and successful career began at Johnston HS and she also served students and staff at Travis Hts. Elementary, Barton Hills and Matthews Elementary.

Dolores was an excellent example of beauty, grace and class all rolled into one. When you were in her presence, she had a way of making you feel welcomed and loved, especially in her own home. If you were lucky enough to be served a meal at their house, you would never walk away hungry and could rest assured you were served one of the best meals in all of South Austin. Her life has always been one filled with Love, Family, Faith, and above all, God. She was especially proud of her Grandchildren and beamed with pride when talking about her Great Grandchildren.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Leonor and her siblings Carmen, Rudy, Frank, Josie, Nene, Claude, and son-in--law Larry Hector. She is survived by her husband Rogelio of Austin, Texas. Her son Roger, Jr and his wife DeLane of Austin, Texas. Her daughter Cathy Ibarra Hector of Buda, Texas. Her granddaughter Alicia and her husband Collin McKnight and their children Nathaniel, Levi, and Luke of Indiana, PA. Her grandson Anthony and his wife Brittany and their children Savannah and Madelyn of Kyle, Texas. Her sister Lupe Anguiano of Ft. Worth, Texas. She also had numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

Special thanks to St. David's South Austin Medical Center Doctors, Nurses and Staff. Eternal thanks to Hospice Austin, most especially Beth, Kim and Yadi.
