Anyone spending time with my father knows just how well he can spin a yarn without tearing at the fabric of truth. His own story officially began in Richmond, TX on December 26, 1955; no surprise, he had a few things to say about this. His most recent chapter finished in Austin on January ##, 2023.

Dennis was very embodied, preferring to work with his hands as a mechanic or electrician outside rather than in an office. He spent his time volunteering and mentoring even though he must have been exhausted from a full day of work. He shared clothes and cooking with those in need. And in all that he went, there were still plenty of jokes and anecdotes to be told.

He now joins his parents, brother Toby Hearen, and wife Lynda. He is survived by brothers Ronald (Rose) of Tomball and Donald (Betty) of Austin as well as son Jake (Jaime) of South Pasadena, CA. He is also remembered by innumerable friends and family.
