Obituary for Curtis Martin Wagner

Curtis Martin Wagner - dedicated father, grandfather, and friend - passed away in Tyler, TX on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Curtis was born November 17, 1949, to Walter and Rosemary Wagner in Austin, where he spent most of his life. He was a long-time member of Onion Creek Masonic Lodge #220 and proud state employee who retired from TXDOT.

Curtis was known for his funny, friendly personality. He was always one to tell a good pun to make you laugh or groan. He loved serving in the student ministry at Woodlawn Baptist Church and sharing the love of Jesus with everyone he met. He adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandkids.

Curtis is survived by his children Adam Wagner (Maggie) and Misty Humphrey (Jason); grandchildren, Annie Wagner, Lukas Wagner, Caedmon Humphrey, Zoe Humphrey; brother Robert Wilson; sisters Barbara Doherty (Joe) and Glenda J. Wagner Zeka; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Buddy Wilson and sister Maggie Nowlin.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2022, at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4600 Menchaca Rd., Austin, Texas. He will be laid to rest at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery following the services.
