On December 7th, 2022, the Valdiviez Garcia family suffered a heartbreaking loss.

Calixto is a caring husband, father of four, grandfather of two, and loved by many in the Valdiviez Garcia family. He grew up in Mexico where he met his wife Teresa and moved to Texas in the 80's to raise their family. He was always the first one to the dance floor, and the last one to leave it. He had a love for action movies, and cold cervezas. Above all, he loved his family. In 2019 he was diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney Cancer and fought to stay by his family's side through years of chemotherapy, with a smile on his face. The doctors decided to place him in hospice care on October 3rd and told him he had only a few weeks remaining.

Once again, he fought to stay with his family for two more months before God welcomed him into His arms. Calixto lived to be 59 years old. He lives on in the hearts of his family, the memories of his children, and surrounded by loved ones who are no longer with us in the Kingdom of Heaven.
