Betty Elaine (Butler) Motal passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 at her home in Austin, Texas surrounded by family at the age of 68. Betty was born October 30, 1953 in Austin, Texas. Everyone that had the privilege of knowing Betty will remember her for her beautiful smile and spirit, always with her lipstick handy. In her free time, she enjoyed watching Lifetime movies and General Hospital, reading her bible and whipping up her famous broccoli rice casserole or Big Red cake. She loved her family deeply and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was the loving wife of Leon Motal. Amazing mother of Mallory (Jeff) Birk and Matthew (fiancée Paige Allison). Soon-to-be grandmother to Braeden Michael Birk. Loving daughter of the late Willie and Anna Belle (Moore). Beloved sister of Phillip (Katie) Butler, Linda (Donald) Marek, Carolyn (Kim) Watson, Robert (Nubia) Butler, and the late Roger Butler. Beloved daughter in-law to the late Henry and Georgie (Bujnoch) Motal. Cherished "Aunt Bea" to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24th at Harrell Funeral Home in Austin (4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX) starting at 5 pm; the Rosery will follow at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, August 25th, 10 am, at St. Peter Apostle Church (4600 E Ben White Blvd, Austin, TX). Burial services will take place at Onion Creek Memorial Park (11610 Chapel Ln, Austin, TX) following Mass.
