Bartlett Selman, a longtime resident of Buda, Texas died July 9th 2022 at the age of 88 years. Bart was born March 5th, 1934 to Beryl and Bartlett Selman in Eagle Pass, Texas. He was preceded in death by: his parents Beryl and Bartlett Selman, his sisters Eugenia Dahlin, Mary Ruth Donsbach, Roxie Selman, and his brother Walter Selman.

He is survived by: His wife Margaret Selman, his brothers Paul and Gary Selman and sister Beryl Sue Odell, his son Trey Selman and wife Susan, his daughter Jana Howington and husband Chris and grandsons Wes Howington and wife Laura and Wil Howington.

His indelible impact on the lives of the people who shared his life has and will continue to reach out in the people they touch. His love for God was demonstrated as a loving husband and father, who yielded his life for others and was an example of sacrificial love.

His life is remembered by his character of kindness, giving, patient teaching, and brotherly love.

He loved music and serving people by providing whatever they needed: a math lesson, a visit in the nursing home, and care given for aging memory care patients. He served and cared for grieving families during the loss of their loved ones, shared decades of innumerable bible lessons for young grade school children to nursing home residents, sang in the choir, filled in as music leader when needed, and sat quietly in the audience at every dance recital, baseball game, and school honor. A life dedicated to serving others is the example that marked his life as a faithful follower and servant of Jesus Christ. He was a master mathematics teacher and faithful employee. He brought joy and comfort to everyone he encountered and is respected by all who worked with him.
