Anna Beth Overstreet was born on September 13, 1934, in Llano County, the oldest of
three children to Walter Edwin Overstreet and Emma Mae Clendennen. She went
home to the Lord on December 1, 2022.
She started school in Lone Grove and attended there until the consolidation of schools
in 1948, graduating from Llano High School in 1952.
She married her high school sweetheart, Donovan Polk, shortly after graduation and
two children were born of this marriage, Randy Don and Donna Beth. When Donovan
was tragically killed in a car wreck, Anna returned to Llano where she soon met her
future husband, Edgar Earl Fain. They were married in 1955 and two boys were added
to the family, Stephen Earl and Richard Neal.
Earl was employed by the National Weather Service, and they lived where the job took
them winding up in San Antonio for many years. When Earl retired, they returned to
their roots and built a home in Lone Grove on the same property Anna Beth had grown
up on. They were both very active in the community as well as their church, Llano First
Baptist.
Anna Beth loved gardening, taking care of her home and many pastimes, but above all
she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons
Randy and Stephen Fain, and daughter, Donna Beth Fain Orsag.
She is survived by her son, Richard Fain, grandchildren Ryan Fain and Becky Fain,
David Orsag and wife,Hope, Darren Orsag and wife, Meagan, Andrew Orsag and wife,
Kaylee, Amy Blackburn and husband, Matt, Anthony Fain and Sonora Fain; brothers
Eddie Overstreet and wife Sandra of Llano and Fred Overstreet and wife Vickie of
Richland Springs, six great grandsons, six great granddaughters and a host of friends
and family,
A celebration of life will be held at the Board Branch Cemetery on Friday, December 16
at 11:00 AM with Pastor Matt Peacock officiating. A reception will follow at the Lone
Grove Community Center.
